Complete or Incomplete: Complete – egg, larva, pupa, adult
Appearance: Frass from hole in stem of vine plants. Wilting for no real reason
Order: Lepidoptera – moths/butterflies
Eggs: Fat, brown and near stem base
Other Stages: Moth – large, red and black with hairy legs.
Eats them: Nothing
Eats: Cucurbit
Plant Controls: None
Notes : Almost entirely mechanical controls. Know when moths attack (about 90 Degrees). Floating row covers, cover stems with dirt everywhere, foil cover, BT, plant around seasons, plant resistant varieties.
