Today I discuss something that I have plenty experience growing (but on a farm type level). Tobacco (Solanaceae Nicotiana) is mostly thought of with love or hate but regardless of where you stand on smoking (I personally don’t smoke except the very rare cigar) you have to admire the plant and its history. A lot of people grow it just because its neat and as I state in the podcast, anytime you grow anything unique the lessons you learn there can be applied to other things.
Tune in to find out:
*How to start tobacco seeds. Its not like starting seeds for its relatives!
*When to plant, where and why the soil type really is not a hard and fast rule.
*Learn why you can’t smoke green tobacco and why you really don’t want to smoke it if its not cured and fermented.
*Learn the history, where tobacco is from (I’m sure you can guess) and other facts.
