In today’s show I do a brief overview of the 3 sub classes and 32 orders of insects.  I think this is a worthwhile subject to give some idea of the process of insect identification.

The Apterygota Generally not “garden” insects

Diplura- Two Pronged Bristle-tails
The Exopterygota Incomplete life cycle – adult, egg, nymph, adult

Dermaptera- Earwigs pinchers on the rear end
