Hey all, I was talking to a friend of mine who has some raspberries to give me. I've found lots of info on them, but I was wondering when the best time is to put them in the ground. Im in NW Washington and the ground is pretty solidly frozen at the moment, would they start in pots, or would it be best to just wait for spring?

You're right about not putting them in pots.  Two transplants is just going to stress them probably.  I'd wait until later in the winter/spring a week or two after your ground thaws.  Move them when they are dormant and there is little stress.  It will give the ground you put them in time to settle and they should take off from there.

Thanks, I'm excited to get them going, I'll report back once I get them going.
