Ya I put about 80 holes into each lid, hot glued window screen over the holes (on the underneath side).  I stack the two covered containers with a couple of pieces of wood (4x4 nubs) to keep the airflow in between the two.

Mealworms are still going strong, but are very slow for generational turnovers.  Our 3rd generation beetles are just starting to emerge, and they will get moved into a 3rd container.  So we will have a 3-bin system: small worms, med-large worms, and adults.

Our chickens get a small handful every couple days at the end of the day and they just tear em up and might be their favorite food item. Once we get to 8 layers this year though, I am thinking I will only be able to provide worms once-a-week.  I am thinking I need to triple my quantity to make it effective (still in the same 3 bins).
