Peach-Plum Tree

We picked this tree up last weekend. It is a cross of Peach and Plum, which supposedly the fruit has a Peach flavor, but smooth skin. It is also more plum-sized fruit. This is not a Nectarine (well I guess), and is a self-fertile cling stone tree. Also (according to the nursery) should not require as much maintenance as peaches for our location. In fact, growing peaches and apricots here can be a waste of time and are not recommended. For $10 for a 4-foot bareroot, I'll give it a go.
I cannot find too many references to it, but this article makes reference to it here:

I've had peach plums before, they're great! My mom used to make jam out of them, it was really good but almost
too
sweet.

Jim, I will be excited to hear how it grows for you. My wife loves both peaches and plums, but peaches are kind of picky in our area and only fruit every 3 out of 7 years, and thus I have opted for other, more reliable, fruit trees.

I have no idea Matthew, it was a pretty random find at our little local nursery. If you google "Tri Lite Peach/Plum" or something similar, maybe you have a local nursery nearby. It's self-fertile, so only one needed if you can find it.
