Jason’s Garden Journal 2012
- February 18 – Started a variety of seeds. LT Cayenne, Blue Tomatoes, San Marzano tomatoes, jalapeno peppers, goji, oregano, parsley, tobacco.
- February 20 – Mosa Bamboo sprouted – FINALLY! All broccoli, cabbage and leeks are sprouting in the greenhouse. It took about two weeks. Temperature variance hurt them. The greenhouse is as stable in temp as I can make it at this point.

- February 24 – Oregano and Blue Tomatoes sprouting! Peas are sprouting in the homestead garden. I should clarify garden. There is the home garden which is the one I put in where we are renting. There’s the homestead garden at the cabin. There is the crop garden – also at the cabin but in a seperate area.
- Dad’s sorghum seed saving – germination test revealed type 1 of 3 seed to yield best germination results. 90% with the other two types yielding 70%.’
